SharonFeeney's photo - July 8, 2008 (almost 13 weeks old) SharonFeeney: July 10 - I spent 2.5 hours in the kayak tonight. It was amazing! That fledgling really looks like an expert at flying. It was on the nest when we got there, and it left the nest and flew around it and back to it at least four times. When we left, it was just before dark and the eaglet flew from the nest and landed in a tree just about 40 ft. from Mom. She was perched in her favorite tree near the nest tree the whole time. The eaglet was mostly quiet, but did a bit of peeping each time before it flew from the nest. It was a spectacular sight to see it fly so well! |
