The pair has been observed since 2002 - you can read the Nest Diaries online at the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation website - but this is its first year online. The cam appears to use rapidly refreshing still pictures which are close to streaming at times, and much slower at others. [picture will be here eventually] Based on past experience, look for eggs in the first half of March, chicks in mid-April, and fledging in early July. |
